Back in the UK

So in the last 24 hours I've gone from this.....
To this

It seems the seasons have changed in the three weeks since I've been away. I got home at about 12:30 am this morning and I had an early start as I had a ton of stuff in the office. Murphy's law, the battery was dead in the car and I stood bitching in the street at 7:30, bad tempered and pissed at the world. Minor crisis.....not really worth mention, except in my tunnel vision, where everything seems so Terry oriented, I spotted this as I cursed into my Blackberry, telling "them", I was going be late.

This tenacious little bugger has now been replanted and has pride of place on the windowsill in my kitchen.

Gotta respect that kind of will to get a foothold. Makes a broken down car less than important.............All of us can think on that.

Don't worry little "Da Honka"......Terry is nothing if not a big brother.

I'm back and you can get into "Terry's cocoon" and recharge till you're ready to man the battlements once again.

.

Hope all is well, wherever you are.

T

Damn, I haven't read in several weeks and had tons of blog to catch up on. You're like a more palatable and more attractive Anthony Bordain. :P
Godspeed and safe travels.

Yo Terry,

Is that a cigarette in you hand? Are you a smoker?

Glad you let that little plant live; now don't forget to water it.

It's funny that you are gone for so long, that life grows out of your car (if you are not using it, someone or something else will do it). At least it wasn't a little mouse what you found growing there.

That's a nice picture. It's just so you... smoking, and so serious.
Enjoy your town those few days you'll be there.

Yes thats me smoking...the demon weed is my last vice. Its inevitable, that the world is going no smoking. It's already is banned in Ireland and will be here in 2007. Italy and Scandanavia already have said so long to the butt. We all know that the US is a huge non smoking zone...some states have banned it in parks...Governments have pretty much taxed it out of affordability, though mostly its poor people who smoke. I wonder what they will do about the tax revenue when everyone quits...they are as addicted to the tax as I am to nicotine. Don't get me wrong...I think its a filthy, stupid habit.
It is however, still a legal product.
When I arrived in Melbourne I went to the washroom in the baggage claim area. There was a big sign in red letters which said something like "Smoking Forbidden. If you smoke you WILL be fined"
I looked into one of the stalls and there mounted on the wall was a needle dispensor and disposal box... a needle exchange in the washroom in baggage claim area!
My point is, tobacco which is legal is banned, but banging heroin in the toilets..is encouraged!
rant over...I need to get another patch as I fel the familiar urge!

Love the pic myself! And, I'll jump on the bandwagon with you about the smoking ban (and, note that I am ALLERGIC to cigarette smoke AND my Mother died of Lung Cancer!). But as far as I'm concerned, it's just another example of Big Gov't at it's worse.....what's next? I've seen Alcohol make some people do some extremely Unsafe/Unhealthy (i.e.STUPID) things as well - are we going to become the "Big Brother" of all individuals we deem not able to make the decision of what's good for them? If that's the case, I'm all for banning taxes all together - -as it is NEVER a healthy experience to go thru an IRS audit _- this I can tell you firsthand. What about Red meat??? Dr. Atkins'diet swears by it and every day I read articles of how it is SOOO unhealthy? Fast Food? Public Restrooms? Where do we draw the line??? BTW Terry - the Sharps Container are there for those with Insulin dependency "officially" however, with the AIDS outbreak, I'm sure they are encouraging use for all Sharps to prevent the spread of that terrible disease! There you go - maybe we'd better Ban Sex too! People are dying afterall.....Okay, Rant OVER!!!! SORRY GUYS....

Hey its not corn its rapeseed....and it smells kind of sickly sweet. People with hayfever here go through hell at this time of year...there are daily pollen count warnings....I can't wait to check out your pics...you have real talent

Yo Terry,

Rapeseed? Never heard of it! Never saw it growing! Had to look it up on the Internet to find out what it's used for! Canola oil is made from rapeseed -- there goes the mental image I had about immigrants harvesting canola beans from the canola plant!
