BBC -Funny screw up

The BBC made a hilarious screw up when they put on air and interviewed a mincab driver about the recent Apple computer vs Apple Records court case. The cab driver had the name "Guy Kewney" taped to his shirt...this is common practice for cabbies waiting in reception at the BBC, so that the right person finds the right cab. Problem was, a floor manager, of News 24, the BBC's equivilent of CNN, was panicking as time was running short. He rushed into reception and ushered the poor cab driver into the studio, and before he knew it , he was being interviewed. He did quite well and is now a hero of the tabloids. To watch this hilarious event, and the look of horror on the cabby's face when he was introduced as "Mr Kewney", go here:

HYSTERICAL!!! The look on the cabbie's face is absolutely priceless!! What does this tell us about the media? That there are a bunch of monkies running the show? Yes! That talking heads are, for them, interchangeable? Absolutely! We should all think twice the next time we listen to some yahoo yapping it up on some "news" program telling us how to think. You never now. You might just find him in the driver's seat the next time you hail a cab! Thanks for sharing this!

Yo Terry,

THREE CHEERS FOR THE CABBIE! I don't know what I would have done in the same situation, but I'm sure I wouldn't have handled it half as well as the cabbie did.

Thanks for the great big belly laugh...my God the look on the cabby's face was Priceless....we may just have the next Mastercard "Priceless" commercial on our hands folks! What is even better was the man actually answered the questions with little hesitation -- I'd have been too shell-shocked and probably would have sat there with an expression devoid of all intelligence!
You are the absolute BEST for sharing these things with us Terry.....thanks again!
