Chinatown & Journey into pain

After the modern Central Business district, I headed to one of the oldest parts of KL, Chinatown. Whereas the KCC mall featured labels and designer coffee, Chinatown offers a more down to earth experience.

That film isn't even in the theatres in KL yet.

Eating in China town is a trip. Noise, smells and strange bits and pieces of strange animals and reptiles are all there to be sampled. I chickened out eating as my guts had been a bit unsettled.

Pick yourself a nice plump frog/toad...yum

As we'd been walking all day, Kelvin suggested we finish the afternoon with a foot massage. Can you spell PAIN??????????!!!!!!!!!

AGHHHHHHHHH.

From the minute it started, my butt was off the chair and I was doing the half sideways twist to get away thing. Much hilarity from the old women sitting next to me as they flicked unflinchingly through their mags and newspapers.

The guy told me all manner of rubbish about how my feet were telling him about various afflictions that I had. I wasn't listening as the macho in me was threatening to be subsumed by the sobbing schoolgirl....It HURT!!!! Through it all Mr Low smiled like a demonic sadist.

After it was all over, I did feel better...relaxed even, but I think that had more to do with the absence of torture rather than any therapuetic effects. My feet still feel bruised.

Well thats it. So long from Dubai airport!

Next stop and post....Cambridge, and a night in my own bed!!!!!!

Yo Terry,

I'm lovin' the idea of a coffin store! Why should funeral directors have a monolopy! I like the idea of shopping for a coffin at my leisure -- you know the saying "I'm rather have one and not need it, than need one and not have it."
