There are plenty more, but I think this gives you an idea. Looking over today's pictures, and yesterday's post, the whole event looks rather WHITE and a bit scary ( kind of "National Front-ish") . Nothing could be further from the truth. There were thousands of people of all colours. They didn't get their picture taken because, well, they looked pretty normal. There was no racial aggro that I could see or sense. In fact as I mentioned yesterday, the reggae tent was so slammed that you couldn't get near it, (though that might have had something to do with the Red Stripe Bar, and the huge trailor of toilets situated adjacent).
There has been an explosion of flags lately. Not the Union Jack, but the "Cross of St George" ( the flag of England). This is all to do with the World Cup which is becoming a national obsession here. It's started appearing on cars- a lot of cars ( a little flag poll attached to each rear window), and pubs. This represents an interesting development on a number of levels. If I get time tonight, I'll write my thoughts in this regard. Or maybe it won't seem so interesting to me and I won't.
Hope all is well with you wherever you are! Two days in a row of glorious sunshine here in the UK! I spent the day in the park with my daughter in Wimbledon watching Indian guys playing cricket.
Love to all
T

Interesting pictures Terry. Interesting what you mention about the flags and how it is related to the world cup.
I come from a country that loves soccer and it goes crazy during the world cup; we see our flag in every car, some of them cover the whole freaking car... it is ridiculous!!!
The day my country plays, TVs are on in every single office, store, coffee shops, bars, you name it... and if we happen to win the match, police are ready to go cover the landmark of my city located in one of the most beautiful avenues as many people gather there to celebrate. It's crazy, I know.
Going back to the pictures, I see people like these guys every day where I live, and I used to see them in my country too. I happen to live in the most liberal city of the US, and while in my country, I lived in the most liberal part of it too.
You should see pictures of my years with my punk hairstyle... it was funny, my family used to make fun of it and my grandma hated it as well as my torn jeans; she would beg me to go buy new jeans and to have a decent hair cut. I am glad I was not into tattoos.
I'm really getting tired of reading Anonymous' comments. I feel that many of the comments, particularly those of substance, ought to have ownership. Therefore, all you androgenous nobodies, be inspired, use your imagination and invent an identity!!!
As for the pics, the guy in the strawberry printed dress needs a fashion guru. I NEVER would have chosen that printed frock for him... totally lacking elan and eclat...tsk.
More pics, please T?
Hope everyone's bonny and blithe.

Hey terry, great news :). Actually bangalore isnt home town i just live here because its where i work now :) home is in the north east of india, a sleepy town called shillong in the state of meghalaya.
anyway .. bangalore really has little to offer in terms of places to visit if you compare it with delhi, however, you might want to visit the bangalore palace, vidhan saudha, oh and go to the ISKON temple, its pretty. But if you really want to visit places id suggest a three hour or so drive into mysore city. That has much more to offer in terms of places to visit. The mysore palace which is very big, chamundi temple, and the brindavan gardens.
oh and see if this interests you :)

"I'm really getting tired of reading Anonymous' comments." Give me a break! Most of the comments on this blog are from people who don't even know Terry. How anonymous can you get! I will reserve comment about them (the anonymous kind) and give them the the benefit of the doubt. Perhaps they visit the blog to simply see good pics and get a chuckle every once and a while. Terry knows that's why I do it. Of course Terry knows who I am and I correspond with him as all true friends do - by actually talking to him.
Let's all realize what blogs are or should be and take it a little less seriously.
Agree with David, and Terry had already posted something about this "issue" in a previous entry, back in February, I believe...
I sometimes post as anonymous, sometimes I use my real name, other times I get a pseudonym, but I belive that for what I say Terry knows who I am, and he knows me too.
I enjoy reading his blog, I love the way he writes, the pictures he posts, and that he takes the time to share all this with us.
David... David... can I say that, address you personally? I only ask since I am no friend of yours, having never conversed with you. I had no idea that my comment regarding... errr... 'Anonymous comments' had any hint, shade, whisper or wink of seriousness.
YOU lighten up. Mayhaps you did not read the rest of what I wrote.
It is not for me to say whether or not Terry is my friend, despite having conversed with the smoking tall blond (liked that T? I meant the adverb literally) over the phone a very few times, nevertheless, he knows he has a friend in me.
Stay bonny and blithe, everyone.
Ciao for now,
