I got in at 2 am this morning and the temperature was 96 degrees. When I went out for my first meeting at 8:30, it was already over 100. Its like living in a blast furnace.
It's low season here so hotels are cheap and everything seems to be moving at a SLOW pace. Heathrow was a nightmare yesterday. They still haven't figured out the security situation and the line ups stretched out of the terminal into tents in the parking lot.
British efficiency, so proudly talked about by expats all over the world, is as I always suspected more myth than reality as it was nowhere in evidence in what is THE airport in the UK.
No pictures on this post as blogger is being difficult again, though you would've only got one from an earlier trip as there is zero time today to take any snaps.
I 'm only here briefly and fly to Seoul at 3 am, so this is it it terms of posts from Dubai.
I've arranged to go to the DMZ early Saturday morning so that should make for interesting pics and maybe the odd observation or two.
Hope all is well wherever you are.

My worst airport experiences have been at Heathrow, more than once... I've seen people sleeping on the floor, chaos, people pushing, airline employees not caring to help. British Airlines has also been my worst airline experience...
I love England, but not the service you get there nor at its airports, including Heathrow of course.
Interesting statistics you've posted this week!
