Well, I'm back in Blighty.
I've been back and forth to London a couple of times and it appears I will be there again tonight.
Next week I'm at "Online" an annual trade show at Olympia, (again back in London).
Work is mad busy this being the 4th quarter, but things look pretty good so the stress levels are manageable.
I'm still jetlagged though I suppose I'm always in a state of mild dis-orientation given the miles I put in, so that's nothing new.
I've had some worrying physical symptoms lately which are probably stress related ( slight chest discomfort- not pain, heartburn, tiredness).
I think I need to get checked out at some point.
Clutching my chest in seat 44F at 36,000 feet holds very little attraction to me. On my flight from KL someone had a heart attack, and I'm afraid they passed away.
It makes you think.
How long would it take for friends and family to find out?
You never think of those things.
People would just keep visiting the site wondering why there were no updates.
I wonder if I should keep a "Last Post" saved to publish should I bite the dust? My sis could open an envelope with the blog password and publish.....
" So long suckers! I've kicked it after falling headlong into the bosom of a rather fetching stewardess! Wish I'd done EVERYTHING differently!"
Yeesh! Morbid thoughts running around my head. Its probably bad luck to write stuff like that.
Not good karma
Gotta snap back to the present!
Its strange being back in the UK . The weather has turned all cold, wet and windy and in a way it feels good to have a bit of a nip in the air after being in SE Asia. If only my house wasn't such a tip when I got home!
I'm pretty much in the UK until the end of the year, though I learned today I may have to do a lightening trip to Taiwan and New Delhi. Please god....no.
I'll be in Florida on New Years Eve celebrating in an airport hotel in Orlando as I arrive too late to drive where I want to be. I actually don't give a toss about New Years Eve. All of that enforced, expensive frivolity gets me down as it never lives up to its promise. Its also the one night of the year that all of the amateur drinkers out there decide to dust off their livers and get all messed up on unnaturally colored cocktails. It all ends in tears and drycleaning bills.
Drinking should be left to us professionals.
I'm going to see my parents who live In Florida in the winter in advance of going to our International Sales Conference.
After attending the meetings at The Magic Kingdom, I'll be in Rio the third week of January and Sydney the first week of February.
So it all begins again fairly sharpish in 2007.
Over the next couple of weeks I'll post as and when something interesting happens or I feel a particular need to rant.
Greetings to friends on the road:
