I've had a weekend of snoozing (Saturday) and a Sunday of Guinness and chat and feel very much the better for it.
I think yesterday was a day of folding up under the combined strain of going around the world in the past 3 weeks with the inevitable lack of sleep and jetlag, work stress, depleted batteries as a result of hitting work without a breather and a variety of family stuff which has appeared out of left field.
Sleep, sleep and more sleep.....and an afternoon of Guinness has made me a new man.
I managed to squeeze in the new Bond movie last night. It was mucho violent and relatively gadget free. Good old fashioned fun.
The new guy is a great Bond. Not a pretty boy, but a gritty, believable character in what had become a tired, trite franchise.
The Brits have been uneasy about a blonde Bond, and there was a resounding chorus of "WHO?" when the new guy was announced. They need not have worried.
As for Bond girls....I preferred CATERINA MURINO to the main love interest........WOW!
Review over.
I'm not a movie buff, but the flick last night hit the spot for a night of nothingness fun.
I've got a week of Online at Olympia ahead and will be doing the usual business dance that is the way of these things.
I hope this finds you all happy and healthy.
If you're visiting my blog for the first time, the interesting stuff is further down the page and in the archives.
