What a day

I've just come off a 24 hour flu bug which has taken me out of circulation (and communication) much to the immense annoyance of a number of people. That, and a missing, then battery dead Bberry has made me MIA.
I must at some point in my life have deeply offended the traffic gods who reign over the UK motorways.
I spent more than 5 hours stuck on the M25 today, a forlorn bag full of Christmas prezzies on the back seat.
I had set aside today to see my daughter and give her presents so that she had something under the tree from me on Monday.
After sitting motionless for over two hours I realised that it was hopeless, inched along to the next exit, and headed back to Cambridge only to be stuck motionless on the A1(M).
The UK has been blanketed by freezing fog over the past 4 days and as it finally cleared today, every man and his dog were on the road making their Christmas dash to friends and loved ones.
Big drag!
I head to Belfast tomorrow, then back here the evening of the 26th.
With any luck, I'll be with my 6 year old Wednesday- Friday next week.
Saturday the 30th, I head to Miami and Orlando, then Rio on the 12th of January and back here on the 20th.
I'll be back exactly a week ,then its off to Sydney.
That's the plan anyway.
At some point amongst all of the above, I'm determined to finally give up the demon weed and will no doubt be exceedingly grumpy and ill tempered. Good thing I'm travelling and away from people who are easily annoyed.
I'll post over the next little while as and when there's something interesting to say.
Merry Crimble to all!
T

The traffic gods have no mercy the weekend before Christmas - however M25+Christmas+cancelled domestic flights = a total chaos that I am sure even the gods could not predict. Sorry you missed your daughter, must be pretty gutting, look forward to seeing her next week!!
