I've been dragging my ass around all day and trying to fight off a flu bug that's doing its best to shut me down. I think the candle has been burning a bit too brightly lately and I'm bound to get sick if I don't slow down. Simon's visit right on the heels of Rio pretty much folded me up.
No we weren't sensible.
Yes we drank wine and whiskey into the small hours talking nonsense and putting the world to rights.
Work politics continue to rage around me and though I'm staying well clear of the fray, its draining to watch. Where it will end up is hard to say.
Will I survive?
No way of telling.
Do I want to?
To tell you the truth a rest would feel good about now. I'm pretty cash positive at the moment so this might be a good time though boredom would inevitably set in pretty quickly.
Blah
This past week an important date passed unremarked on the site.
My gorgeous little girl turned 7 on Sunday. Though I raced back and made it to the UK on time, for reasons pretty unimportant in the scheme of things I was not able to see her. I am however bringing her to Belfast this weekend and my sister and I are going to give her another birthday party.
Over the next weeks I'm going to be Dubai, Washington and NYC. I used to look forward to US trips but I'm not so sure this time.
April will be Thailand, Tokyo, Hong Kong and Beijing.
Or maybe I'll be out of work and jump on a plane to Cuba!
Whatever happens you'll be the first (ish) to know.
This boy needs some shut-eye
Love
T
