In transit from Detroit I found myself back in NYC.
All roads lead to the Big Apple it seems.
I went to the South Seaport and caught the Body Exhibition. I saw the original touring version in London a couple of years ago and though smaller and missing the famous rider holding the horse's brain exhibit, it still has a big impact. All those diseased lungs, livers and hearts make everyone temporarily swear off ciggies and booze....at least for a couple of hours.
What struck me yesterday as it did when I originally saw it, was the silence.
Shuffling teenagers are as dumbfounded as the rest of us. Goofing around is just not on the agenda.
People speak in low voices; there's a sort of voyeuristic reverence.
Go and see it if you get the chance.
From the architecture of the body, Manhattan and Brooklyn , I wandered around downtown and came upon this winter scene on a balmy New York afternoon
Matt Damon was in town filming the latest episode of the Bourne Identity. It must be an uncomfortable life working as an extra dressed in winter woolies in 75 degree sunshine. Some onlookers were less impressed than others.

It's been a strange, unsettling week.
I really don't know what to make of it to be honest and am unsure how professional and personal events are likely to unfold.
All is not as it should be, though I think there will be a route through what appears to be a confusing, unbalanced enviroment.
Hope everything is going your way wherever you are.
Love
