Landed at Gatwick at 8:05 pm tonight.
Arrived Cambridge 9:55 pm.
That's got to be some kind of record.
100mph in a big Merc estate.
Sometimes the planets align.
I've got three songs playing over and over again on my ipod through the headphones on my laptop:
Sex and Candy- Marcy Playground
Time won't let me go- The Bravery
Devils Haircut- Beck
Why??
I don't know.
words are cool though.
Kind of cool anyway
You know you're becoming a sad bastard when lyrics from a song of the moment start to feel poignant.
Save me from overwrought introspection.
Get a grip T
All is well.
Yesterday morning I swam in the Gulf with my colleagues and it was like taking a bath.
The air was 43 degrees and the water was marginally cooler or warmer....it was a giant bath.
Kind of a cool thing to do.
Freaked me out though I'd done it before.....odd moments and random thoughts.
My brain is slowly grinding to a halt.
I'm back in the UK for a couple of weeks and need to decompress though I'm going to be busy.
No pics for this post.
Spare a thought for all the poor buggers who are sweating in Iraq and Afghanistan and aren't at your BBQ.
No matter how bad you think you have it, it could be a lot worse.
Count em cause no matter who you are your blessings are probably things you take for granted.
Sermon over.

thank you for the birthday wishes and the reminders of how blessed many of us are. it's so easy to let the minutia rule the day when you don't have a reality check -- thank you for the reality check...
Thanks for the reality check Terry. Life could be a lot worse. How about the grief the families of the 6 Canadian soldiers who died in Afganistan yesterday are suffering through today.
