I'm settled into the embrace of my aged P's here in the nation's capital . It seems everywhere in Canada is blessed with fantastic weather. You wouldn't know it now but come February its minus 40 and snow up to your armpits.

I've done very little here but sleep and laze around and I plan on keeping to that regime. Thursday night I'm going to Montreal , a city I haven't been for 20 odd years.

I lived there for a while in my early 20's and left the place with a bitter taste in my mouth. I have a feeling that I'll enjoy myself this time.

Walking around the Byward Market area yesterday, I came across this boozer, a long dormant memory in the back of my mind. The "Laff" as we called it was popular with the crowd I kicked around with when I was 18 or so. Quarts of beer at $2 a pop and a decidedly liberal attitude to serving us. At the time it had sawdust on the floors though now its pretty yuppified. Nice memories. Thats it for now.

I don't have a lot to post at the moment but will do again as and when.
