People

I've spent the past three days at a conference in Doha. The pictures in this post are random snaps of people I met and saw.
Qatar is very different to what one expects from a Gulf state. Israel has a trade mission here, in fact the Israeli Foreign minister was here this week addressing a "Democracy Conference".
Qatar is not a democracy.
Some would argue that neither is Israel.
Strange bedfellows.
The country is awash in Petro money and, though not on the scale of Dubai, is building and developing quickly. The Internet is unfettered and seems to be uncensored.
The Qattari Foundation is pumping Billions of $'s in to health and education projects and the society is likely to transform over the next 10 years.
Al Jazeera is here.
Oil is $114 a barrel today.
The desert is likely to change very quickly.I'm packing to go to Tehran and will likely be "off the air" for the next 5 days.
I hope I'll get some interesting pictures.
Wish me luck
T

hmmm Stereotypes?
I just take the picutres that present themselves to me. I reckon you'd see similar bodyshapes in the US or Europe. The difference is you may be applying some sort of cultural visor you yourself are burdened with. Same people...different costumes.
I like the guy with the earphone translator myself.....
