Crazy Busy

Its year end for the business and there aren't enough hours in the day. The next 2 weeks are the culmination of a year's work and anything that can go wrong usually does. It will all end well but only if we don't leave things to chance and avoid the proverbial stumble at the last hurdle.
I've just returned from a flying visit to Stockholm (not as cold as I thought), go to Madrid and Berlin next week and fly back to Honkers a week from Sunday.
I narrowly avoided a last minute trip to Israel tomorrow, so will be in Cambridge until the weekend where I'll hook up with Jess and (God help me!) going to a matinee of Mamma Mia.
Me, a little 8 year old (who's mad for ABBA) , a theatre full of middle aged gay men, and other little girls with their mums.
I hate the West End in general and musicals in particular.
I'd never have dreamed I'd actually be looking forward to sitting through 2 hours of camp Swedish pop on a Sunday afternoon.
I'll probably really enjoy myself!
"Suuuuupa, trooopa!"
I'll be humming "Dancing Queen" next.
Love to all

She'll love it, you'll love it. You can go to Chinatown for chow before or after.

I'm getting Miss Mini-B aged 8 the soundtrack on CD for Xmas.

Avoid the rainforest cafe, it's nearby but a COMPLETE rip-off.

I have just spent a terrifying amount on tickets for a matinee of "Beauty and the Beast".

Not my first choice of entertainment.... not my second either...in fact... you get the picture

Diary point has just struck me after booking my own tickets, is there a matinee on Sunday? Usually they're on Saturday and most theatres are closed on Sunday. Turning up to a closed theatre would be a disaster.

Phew. Have a wonderful time at the weekend(as I'm sure you will).

It's work's Christmas party tonight. The horror, the horror. The only viable excuse for not going would be being struck by a metorite. On the plus side, it looks like the office ubergruppenfuhrer might not make it back from Munich in time....

Uncharacteristic show of restraint from your correspondent, so no hangover this morning.

Thank god it's over for another year.

Wonderful weekend wishes!

Other than finding five picture frames (everyone with an interest is getting a framed photo of Miss Mini-B, which solves all of those w-t-f-to-get issues), I am done with Christmas shopping. Now all I have to do is steel myself to cook for three days solid.

Next year I plan to buy a turkey dinner for one and microwave it.

On Christmas day, Miss Mini-Baron played the Mamma Mia soundtrack five times back-to-back, mea culpa for buying it. Then, after Mamma Mia had been impounded, started on High School Musical. A sort of Guantanamo Bay-type aural torture. Am still recovering.
