Moscow

I flew into Moscow yesterday and was able to take advantage of the evening sun for a biref walk. I've only ever been here during the winter and warmer temperatures give a different perspective. It still feels a melancholy place but once the rain stopped the sun put a slightly less sombre spin on things.
As is the case in all of Eastern Europe, WWII still resonates. Russia more than most suffered terribly during the war and the trauma is still a factor in the national psych.
I'm dashing this off between meetings and hope to get some pictures of the magnificent subway system in Moscow though time will tell if this comes to pass.
More later.
Stay well.
