Me seeing the band...Oh so long ago.............. well OK it's not me....but it could have been...
Big shout out to Dave L...Toronto friend who, through thick and thin...has proven to be the best....I have recently got a new laptop...and itunes...and have been transferring over my CDs. Dave bought me this Tragically Hip Cd......for my birthday...and he met me in Prague that summer. I listened to it, on the now archaic, "CD man" at the time, (bought by my mom- another Bday present)...and I remember it all...tonight .....I remember waking up at dawn, and going to the roof of the hotel. ( I know, I know...but it was a young (ish) guy kind of thing to do)..and looking out over the city... and Praugue was just awakening from it's commie past and was a crazy place...........and listening to those two songs...and WOW!........... sad , meaningful.....Terry..... moment .....anyway....Dave....thanks for being my friend...they did the trick again....Johnny Cash...welll listen to the song and be unmoved...I dare you.

You know Terry...you never have to worry about me being your friend...your best friend. Maybe we should knock on Gord Downie's (from the Hip) door when you are in TO next week. We can share the Prague stories. It was a great time and I am glad that you still think of it. Let the music live.
