Here I go again.....

I'm heading to the US again and then, upon my return, I'm in Madrid, then back to the UK for a week, and then off to Frankfurt for the annual madness that is the Frankfurt Bookfair. I'll write more regarding that event at another time.

I'm feeling quite up for a change. Its strange that I can go through periods of neutral blah. Not down exactly just part of the churning machine which seems to be my life; Work, travel, restaurant, hotel, airport, taxi.
Round and round it goes and I actually begin to lose track of where I am and stop caring where I'm going.
My life is organized to the point of absurdity in one way, (I can tell you where I'll be 1 month from now at 5 pm) and controlled chaos in another. My personal life is a study in inconsistency and miss-steps, but apart from a couple of disastrous misadventures, I'm fairly grateful for the nice things its thrown my way.
It seems that just when I need something good to happen, it does whether financially or personally.
Bad luck begets bad luck, but if you hunker down and ride out the storm, a positive vibe will eventually reassert itself.
I guess I'm writing this because a couple of people I've met lately (and known for awhile), seem to be hitting a bad patch.
It can feel like the light at the end of the tunnel is an oncoming train.
Now before you start thinking that this is some sort of motivational speech, I think it best to say that I'd much rather give an "anti-motivational" giggle.
Whether at work, or from your friends or family, everyone seems ready to lay it on thick with cliches that really do nothing more than make you reflect on how banal your friends or family are.
They're trying so you can't be too hard on them, especially when they're the only people still talking to you.
Take a deep breath and don't scream when you hear " the night is darkest before the dawn" yet again
It's best to laugh when you feel crap.
To that end here are my all time fav anti-motivational slogans.....

So you smiling yet?
Feeling better?
More effective than a rousing speech from yours truly to make it all seem absurd and less than fatal.
Bottle of wine for whoever tells me what the Chinese characters at the begining of the post mean.
Till next time
T
