A mixed weekend

Good manners, or civilized behavior or I don't know what.

Moral dilemmas and a little girl throw up sad insights into the lack of influence I have and the very different ways people deal with life's little mistakes.
Well that's a bit dramatic.

A bad oyster last night and the predictable fallout resulted in a less than focused mind today. After a stupendous day on the Southbank with my daughter, I backed my car into a brand new merc and the tow-bar did a fair bit of damage.
What bothered me most was the fact that my daughter seemed astonished that I left a note on the windscreen.

She was confused by the whole concept.

"I guess you have all the money in the world and you just want to give it a way?"
"Money doesn't grow on trees you know"

I guess this a different course of action resulting from of a similar incident involving her mum.

She's only six and is innocent .

She's such a lovely little thing, but she's picking up some bad stuff at home.
I don't know what I expected. I thought she wouldn't comment at all and when she did it threw me for a bit of a loop.
Actually it depressed the shit out of me.

She's learning some lessons at home I don't entirely approve of.

But who am I to comment right?

OK enough of that.
I'm clearing out some files and came across a few of pics from very different places, I've posted some of them before, but given I don't have much to say today they're worth another (or a first) look.

Points if you can tell me where they're from.....

The last one is me wielding a cricket bat like a meat cleaver.
Hope all is well
T

T-
Don't worry about J - she will turn out just fine - afterall she does have your dna & influence (albeit not as much as you'd like I'm sure). What better way to learn life's lessons than by firsthand comparisons. She's seen what her mother's approach to responsibility is, as opposed to your own. Now, she will process what she's seen and learn from the experience. And hopefully, she will realize that yours is the morally correct action. Just keep on doing what you do - and she'll realize how wise you are (after she goes thru the teen phase where you know ABSOLUTELY nothing while she is the MOST INTELLIGENT, COOL & HIP person on the face of the earth). Sorry - here I am trying to give a good pep talk and I'm about to depress you, huh? Hang in their T! You two are lucky to have each other to learn from!
ALWAYS!!! KC

Well, the person who hit my car was not that nice. It's happened twice this year, and all I could do is pay for the repairs. I am glad to see there is someone out there who takes responsibility...

The pictures are from Iceland, Ireland, Lebanon, and China. I don't know if I am missing one or two as I cannot go back to check them again. Hope I am right :-)

Cheers Mr. Robinson!

I don't want to put much effort into remembering where the pictures are from... Last time you posted some from Lebanon, you promised a bottle of vodka to those who would know where the pics were from... Well, I am still waiting for my bottle or at least a Dirty Martini!
