No pictures on this post as I'm at an internet cafe counting down the hours until I head home. I should darken my door around 11:30 tonight and am looking forward to sleeping in my own bed.
The day started off grey and depressing. The rain matched my mood, and I spent a couple of hours contemplating the chaos that is my life. There is a clear message that I just keep making the same mistakes and I have to smarten up.
Work and a nonexistant personal life have been conspiring to make me down in the dumps and I think I've been grasping at straws lately.
About 2 this afternoon the sun came out and shone down on a city that's buzzing and happy. I gotta say that the shit from the past is well and truly locked up and I'm feeling pretty clearheaded now. Berlin has been interesting and in my head at least I've straightened out some nagging stuff.
No more nonsense.
No more fair weather friends.
Work will either sort itself out or it won't
Blah, blah, blah........
There is no great revelation in play here, just an "enough is enough" feeling. I guess I'll wait and see how things pan out.
I have a ton of cool pics of Berlin to post which I'll try and get to over the next 48 hours or so though I have a 7 year old to see as well as packing for a summer climate, to get through first.
Saturday I head to Rio and will be there all week. I'm sure the city
will be somewhat subdued and hungover as a result of last week's after carnival so I'm not anticipating many late nights. That's a blessing as I'm determined to take it easy and catch up on sleep.
Sun and tons of meat!
Brazil does "meat grub" well and I'll be sure to pack plenty of Alka Seltzer and Zantac.
There'll likely to be some interesting posts over the next little while, so stay tuned.
