I've just got home and predictably though tired, I can't sleep. I've decided to post a few random pics as I really don't have time to delve too deeply into any particular theme (like the wall or Reichstag etc)
The first pic was taken in front of the Brandenberger Tor with an enterprising German dressed as a Soviet soldier in period gear from the time of the Soviet victory. For 1 Euro, he posed with a flag and gave me a replica Visa to visit East Berlin.
Cheesy I know, but fun.
The second snap was taken from the roof of the Riechstag. I've got quite a few of this impressive building and I'll post them as and when.
Finally, a funny little vignette happened as I was getting ready to leave Berlin. Whilst talking to a friend on my cell (she was in NYC) an opera singer started to busk in the plaza in Zoogarten where I was staying. For about 20 seconds, I held the phone out and helped facilitate a Trans-Atlantic performance. From Berlin to Manhattan...my own little production!
Quite good fun.
