A bit of RIO Zen

This is the view from the rooftop pool of my hotel. I finished a little early yesterday and had some time to decompress and get ready for a whirlwind two days of travel across the length and breadth of the country. I don't get much "Terry time" usually, but I sure needed it yesterday and I made the most of it.

The beach at Barra was pretty much deserted in the late afternoon , but there was still the usual parade of joggers running along the beach itself as well as the promenade on the waterfront. There is a particular style of beach running. Its a slow shuffling gait, almost a kind of dance. Appropriate for Brazil .I'm sure that pic will annoy some, but I had to post it as it's representative of the scenery. Point your camera in any direction and you'll snap something similar.

Jogging, kite surfing, surfing etc, etc.
Active is the oreder of the day here. I'm told this is a uniguely RIO lifestyle and the rest of the country are a bit more sedate. I'll see over the next couple of days I guess.

Thats it for now. I've got a flight to catch.
Stay well wherever you are.
T
