Sunday Afternoon Walk

Sunday afternoon (yesterday) I found myself at a loose end in NYC. As usual I went for a heart valve busting sandwhich at Katz's deli. I then took my trusty camera and went for a long meandering walk around the Lower East side, eventually working my way across town and ending up in the Village.
These pictures show what a delight New York is if you take the time to look at the stuff going on around you. Like London, New York is a great place "to look up". There's plenty of things to see above street/eye level.Have a look and tell me what you think. All of these pictures came about by just pointing and shooting at the endless conveyor belt of "stuff" unrolling in front of me over 3 1/2 hours.
Its not art I know.
It's just a way to remember an Indian summer's walk.
Money and squalor.
New York has it all.

Washington Park is in the centre of NYU and is buzzing with all manner of "stuff".
The cliche below is my favorite picture of the day.
I'm back in the UK for 24 hours and head to Frankfurt for the annual book fair/booze fest/glad-handing/networking/bonfire of cash. Frankfurt trebles its prices during the book fair week and that's annoying. Its the biggest trade fair in the world and you can see every printed ( and most digital) piece of information published in dozens of languages.
Stay tuned.
Love T
