As you may or may not know, I'm moving to Hong Kong at the end of the month. Between now and then I've got to sift through my stuff and decide what will go to Asia and what will go to Oxfam.
I keep putting it off.
Man I have a lot of crap.
First there's a ton of clothes which have moved from flat to flat over the years and never get worn.
Hong Kong is hot all year round but Korea, and Japan (let alone Europe and Canada) are not in the winter.
I'll be going to all those places over the next 18 months so
I'll need to bring cold weather gear.
A 10 year old TV, massive and prehistoric?
Oxfam won't want it.
How the hell do I get it to the dump?
Its amazing that though I have a shocking amount of junk to my name, I have very little "stuff".
What I mean by that is that there are very few things of any real value: chairs, tables and beds tend to come with the places I've rented and were are all of pretty basic quality.
Its vaguely depressing that my possessions aren't really of the "keeper" variety.
All of the moves over the years have been work related and based on an ambitious plan of avoiding a stationery target.
The end result is a lot of crap and very little "stuff".
What's the point of this post?
Nothing other than bored musings, avoiding the chore of the possession cull and an excuse to post images from Despair.com. Whenever you need to escape the banal cliches of the modern world and have a giggle at the same time, give it a visit.

The telly is yours...drifting into sleep now so no ciggie tonight....
Meanie.
On the plus side, I have just fixed the vacuum cleaner as displacement activity. A woman's work ...
Sweet dreams.

Ultimately you don't need much: stuff is just that, stuff. Other than the "family silver" whatever that may be for you, back-up hard drive (esp. photos), bank books and essential legals (passport, will, whatever), laptop, phone, possibly keys; all the rest can go up in a conflagration and not really be missed.
Care to model the wardrobe and I will help you "edit":
No, No, No, No, Dear God No, Maybe..., No, No, No... Good god, what were you thinking... All Taiwanese ties out...

The point of the post? At least I know you are coming to Canada and Toronto over the next 18 months. Try to make it before the snow flies or perhaps wait until it goes away. Wait a second. Why am I telling you this. You know the deal. Donate as much as you can.
Markets up in Canada today. Finally a halt to the bleeding. At least for a day.
Take it easy buddy!

"I'm going jogging!"
Hey lennie,
Shoot me an email address, I'll be in NYC soon...wanna hook up?
sorry Lennie is the handle I meant to shout out too. Crux's friend right?
Sorry to say that friendship is no more......
Would love to. There's no other Lennie though, I'm K's friend. It's my actual name. I would've noticed if there was a shadow...
