I went to the Australian Open Tennis last night and watched poor Venus get eliminated in the second round by 46th ranked Carla Suarez Navarro.The number 6 seed looked to be cruising to victory winning the first set comfortably 6-2 and was up 4-1 in the second when the diminutive Spaniard showed how outsiders can dig deep and pull something out of the fire. She went on to win , 7-5, 6-3 dodging 2 match points.
Even though I'm a Venus fan, you gotta love it when someone shows that much guts.
I'm lucky enough to be at the tennis all weekend with tickets that are the best of any sporting event I've ever attended.More posts as and when.
