Bangkok

As I was in Bangkok,as usual I made the trip to Lumpini Stadium for the Thai Boxing.

That's gotta hurt.
Apart from the action in the ring, there's plenty going on in the crowd. The gambling is fast and frenetic, though the signals are incomprehensible to outsiders. During the fight punters cheer in unison as their guy kicks or punches to good effect. The resultant waves of sound, aimed at influencing the judges adds a real buzz to the atmosphere.
In terms of brutality and knock outs this trip to the fights was a step down from previous visits. It was still good fun, just not as intense as the past.
I'm in Singapore and flying to the UK tonight having suffered for two days as a result of food poisoning.
I've spent the better part of the last two nights sitting on the bowl and though all has passed ( pun intended) am feeling a bit waxen and weak.
I'll try and get a couple of pics this afternoon before flying tonight.
Have a great long weekend every one.
