Last Sunday

I spent last weekend with Jess and we didn't get to the London Dungeons because there was a two hour queue. We did however, visit the Thames at low tide (South bank) and it was kind of fun.
There was an odd collection of people walking along the shore.
"I'm an archaeologist and you can find old pipes from the 1600's all along here."
Yes its a treasure trove of old radios, shopping carts and the odd metal spike.
Call me a cynic but this stretch of the Thames is the most picked over stretch of beach in existence (must be).
Jess was convinced in the way only an 8 year old can be.
She discovered this "bones of some kind of animal"
Mr archaeologist said:
"MY DEAR,
All along here were taverns of ill repute and they used to toss the bones of the animasl they'd eaten into the river....I'd say this dates back 200 years or so...."
Ahhh no.
Its a sheep's jaw washed down the river and washed up on the beach in the center of the city.
The picture was the compromise.
My kid wanted me to carry it home and take it to school for"show and tell.
This is interesting to me . " Age 8" as an afterthought says something..... right?
I've had a bit of an "event" this week and didn't feel much like posting. I'm not sure whether the blog has much legs to be honest I'm contemplating packing it in and starting again when I move to HK .
A "Start afresh" under a different name sort of thing...etc.....etc.
But here I am again. Be well and healthy everyone.

A fresh start is often a good thing buddy! "Start afresh". Sounds good to me. I need to find a way to do that myself. At least in some respect.

Hang in there my friend. I know you will.

Birds flying high, you know how I feel.
Sun in the sky, you know how I feel.
Reeds driftin’ on by, you know how I feel.
It’s a new dawn.
It’s a new day,
It’s a new life, for me.
And I’m feeling...[fill in as appropriate]

Now you got me posting lyrics.

Sounding the last post.

N.B.: "shite" is not appropriate, no matter how apt it may seem.

I will miss not talking to you.

On a more positive note, Jess might be interested in: http://www.britarch.ac.uk/yac/
I'm an alumni!

Also, Miss mini-B thought the sand sculptures were amazing, as do I.

Doh! Struck by the thought whilst driving that actually I'm an alumna, one of the alumnae. Thought I'd get that in before T Snr. chases me with the correction stick.

Googled the blog tonight and this post was second hit.

She's a lovely girl. I really hope you manage to keep up communication. It should get easier to do, as she gets older.

I still miss not talking to you.

Take care.
